Hey y'know what's cool? Dueling a skeleton demon and winning super good even when they do weird draws and... field spells that I don't remember too much of!

Y'know what's not? TAKING HALF THE BUILDING WHILE I WAS NAPPING!! I was SOOOOOO ready to fight the rest of the skeleton army after that! Just, y'know. Rainbow Skellybones used skeleton spells to drain my energy!

UGHHHHHHHHHHH.

By the way, anyone know where to commission a Suanni shaped nightlight? Asking for a friend.

Broke my PDA a while ago and didn't feel like getting distracted while I'm trying to get my grades up for college.

Well, just for a little bit. I made it back just in time to break everything I own and apparently lose a semester? They're picky about it.

I mean. Let's be honest. There's always something weird going on here. Rainbow skeletons with magic doesn't even surprise me.

Rainbow Skeletons are pretty normal for here, yeah.

How's college????

I shudder to think of any of us trying to live normal lives.

It's okay, I guess. Kinda the same stuff, different day if I'm gonna be honest.

[In Tori and Yasha's apartment in Domino, in Yasha's room, everything suddenly comes to a stop - including Yasha.

Not that she'll notice it, but after a few seconds, Alexandra has shown up in front of Yasha, staring down at her, a grimace on her face. After a few seconds, she lets out a sigh and looks around for Yasha's Duel Disk.]

[Yasha has it! Active, on her wrist. In bed.

Also, she is surrounded by an impenetrable armor of expensive looking life-sized Yang Zing plushies.

It is astounding that Viccy can afford an apartment with a ceiling high enough for Baxia and Yazi.]

...

[Alex takes in a breath. This really feels like an invasion of privacy, but. She's gotta know. So. She walks forward and activates her hardlight Duel Disk. A cord comes out of it and she hooks it into the disk on Yasha's arm, connecting to it.

Once connected, she brings up the log of Yasha's last duel.]

[Standard stuff from the beginning. Yang Zings, Supply Squads, staple traps, horrifying demon abominations, Forbidden Secrets of the Yang Zing...

Oooooh noooooo]

[She goes over the log multiple times. Eventually, her hands turn into fists at her sides.]

I am gonna freakin' kill him...

[She disconnects her disk, lets out a breath. She stares at Yasha for a few minutes more and then wordlessly turns to leave. That's when the light around her arm starts sparking and fizzling. Alex's eyes widen. She looks at a clock on the wall...

...as the second hand starts moving again. Alex stands there like a deer caught in the headlights.]

[Yasha blinks. And blinks, staring at Alex. That was... a wall a second ago, and now it's Alexandra.

Huh.]

... Alexandra? What are... Can you teleport?!

....

[Her head droops.]

Slow down time, actually.

OOooh. Awesome!

[Yasha realizes she is still wrapped in her protective plushie armor and untangles herself from it, hopping out of her bed to preserve some small amount of dignity.]

Soo... um.... Why'd you slow down time in my room?

...

'Cause I heard you were involved in that stuff at the Momentum Reactor earlier today and I wanted to find out what happened.

And I figured looking at your disk would be...

...simpler.

[she frowns for just a second, biting her lip before noticing her disk is still active and turning it off.]

Oh, well... I mean! You saw that I won, and it was... really cool and hype!

What's Forbidden Secrets of the Yang Zing, Yasha?

[she pauses, frowns deeper, rubbing at her arm and looking around the room nervously.]

I... I don't know. I really don't! He... he played some field spell, and gave me my life points back and said I'd be... filled with rage equal to his life points, and I just remember... red.

...

How many life points did you gain from that effect, Yasha?

It... I had 11400.

...

[Alex's hand makes a fist at her side. It starts shaking. Her expression is one of concern, though.]

Are you okay?

Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. I'm...

[Yasha inhales, then exhales, then inhales again before sitting back on her bed, pulling her knees up to her chest.]

I-I'm not okay! It was... i-it ate at my soul and personality and I was just... terrified, then I was just so... MAD, and the card in my hand shone and... I think I KILLED the... demon? w-was it a demon?

[Alex lets out a breath.]

Yeah. They were demons. Not Duel Monsters. They came from another plane of reality, not the 12 Dimensions.

Well, that's... something, I guess. I didn't want to... kill anyone. I just...

[Yasha sighs.]

I just wanted to... be like Jean, and... maybe then she'll come back.

....

....you really miss her, huh?

Yeah... I miss Angie, too, but... at least I can call her.

I... I guess... maybe they just don't wanna be reminded of all the... stuff that happened, that made... all of us.

...th-that was a really hard time for all of us. Jean and Angelina especially. We were all kids and...we were caught up in something way bigger than us. And we didn't know what was happening or how to deal with it, and every time we thought things were getting better, they just got worse and more painful.

[She reaches a hand out and lightly touches Yasha's face, tilting her head up so they can make eye contact.]

....but you were the best thing to come out of all of it.

[Yasha swallows, visibly holding back tears. She doesn't succeed, and gasps in air, starting to sob.

Unable to accept being seen sobbing, she practically slams her face into Alex's torso. You can't SEE her sobbing that way, just hear and feel it. Yasha 1, emotions 0.]

[Alex just lets her. Her hands slowly come up around Yasha, one on her back and one on her head. It actually kinda really hurts having Yasha ram into her like that, but she doesn't let it show at all.]

It's okay. Go ahead.

[Yasha shakes and goes quiet for just a second, before just outright bawling and screaming. Thankfully it's muffled by Alexandra, lest she wake up the entire apartment complex.]

[Alex doesn't say anything for a while. She knows Yasha must've been holding this in for a long, long time. So she just lets her let it out. Only when she thinks she's started to calm down a bit, does she speak again:]

...I don't know why they left. I haven't talked to either of them, so I can't say.

But I know it's not because of you two. And... ...I know that wherever she is right now, Jean has a good reason for not having contacted you.

She loved you guys when she was here. She still does. I'm sure of it.

[Yasha sniffles quietly, nodding slowly, finally pulling away from Alexandra and wiping her face down with her sleeves. She smiles weakly up at Alexandra.]

Y... yeah. You're right.

... Thanks, Alex.

Anytime.

[Alex strokes the back of Yasha's head a bit, eventually slowing down. She knows there's not much more she can do on the subject of Jean or the demon right now, so she just decides to...try and change the subject.]

So...you're a semi-pro now, huh?

Yeah! I've been one for awhile, now. When Viccy and me were living in Europe we didn't really have much... work experience, y'know? So we just started dueling for money, and I started winning minor tournaments and next thing I knew the only thing keeping me out of the pro leagues was being too young.

Huh...

So you're getting started even younger than I did. Man, I'm sorta jealous.
